A key takeaway for Nepali traders in NEPSE.

Before sharing some of the rules that I shaped for myself on trading and investing in the stock market, I would like to highlight key principles that a good trader or investor needs to embed in his/her actions. Similarly, these principles are highly valuable to our life and are useful to master our habits and other disciples.    1.      Learn and grow! In whatever sector you work, to become a successful and satisfied person you must be willing to learn and grow in the particular field. You must understand both the philosophical and technical aspects of the work you are doing. Also keeping yourself up-to-date and breaking the box of comfort is essential for growing yourself immensely. This paper provides some philosophical and technical knowledge on being a better stock market trader and investor in NEPSE.    2.      Love what you do If you are doing something that you do not like doing, then you must stop. Learning what you love to learn makes way easier than learning thi

COVID 19 is not a storm, it is merely a calm before the storm.

As the human immune system fight pathogens and attempts to save us from bacteria and diseases, nature fights anyone who tries to harm and destroy her. For millions of years, we have been toxic parasite in the body of mother earth. And for the past couple of centuries, she has merely been a ‘free resources’ or a ‘dumping ground’ for all the waste that we’ve created. But, development and growth cannot be in the destruction of nature. And if we still do not realize it, we are gonna vanish like many other creatures who once used to be the most powerful animals on this planet. Realize, Learn and Grow, Sustainable behavior!

Do not stay at home.

If you still haven’t realized the power of nature, then do not stay at home. If you still flippant climate change, then do not stay at home. If you cannot contribute to your own level for a strong 'nature-human' relationship, then do not stay at home. And still, if you cannot provide but constantly look for what the world can offer you, then why should you stay at home? If you are staying at home this time, then make sure, next time when you go outside, you don’t have come back and hide again in these concrete walls. Protect, Reflect and Strengthen, the mother earth!

Second thought on quitting

We hear all the times that ‘Winners never quit’. They run, fall, wake up and run again but never stop. They are ready to fail hundred times but are never willing to quit. And eventually, the person will achieve the dream. So, never stop, keep moving. But does it really? Life doesn’t work that way. Sometimes life will hit you hard, so hard that you cannot wake up. Will all the risk that you take for the success that you dreamed of is worth all the pain? I don’t say, it is better to quit. But re-thinking is a crucial element. What is the worth, if you jump into the river again and again but you don’t know how to swim or if the flood is very big and it is constantly pushing you back in the riverbank? Re-trying might get drowned ! I have realized that it is important to understand the real value of work that you are doing and its importance to you. How long will it take and is the time worth spending? What is the benefit that you going to have, once you achieve your dream? What is t

The power of prayers.

My father prayed a lot, every year, every month, every day and most of the time, multiple times in a day, in morning, daytime and evening. But, what have he achieved from it? First, his commitment towards spirituality has given him a hope. A hope that everything will get better and better in his surroundings. His prayers have kept him strong, moral and optimist, through which he has been able to fight all his physical and mental problems. All his energy gets rejuvenate with the prayer and faith. Second, prayers have certainly worked in our case too. By ‘us’, I mean my brother and I. Upbrought in a harsh family situation with very limited opportunities (of course, it is comparative) were available, he and his prayers have pushed us to break our boundary of success in very short period. And along with our hard work, his prayer and faith has worked well. So, what is the takeaway? Prayers and faith are like water hitting a rock and making the transformation in it. It has a poten

The lesson that I learned during my 27 years of journey. 1. There is absolutely no substitute for integrity, perseverance and hard work. Both happiness and success mostly depend upon these three key elements. Therefore, it is essential to 'break the comfort' and train oneself every time to be honest, determined and absorbed. 2. Failure is not a step to success. But it does give you an opportunity to rethink about your dream, value, passion, approach, strategy and action. It is not possible to win every time, losing is inevitable, therefore, it is better to get along with the failure. 3. Empowerment cannot be coercive. It should be tied-up and owned by the recipient. Weak ones are simply afraid, lazy or hedonistic to get out of their daily routine. In this case, stress on persistent growth might seem idealistic which create more harm for both the parties. 4. Learn to be alone. There will be a rabble of people with you when they need you but very few people stay when
