The Second Mouse

I rewind; it again appeared. I paused it, clicking the left part of the mouse. I kept quite for sometime. I was not only silent but was also thinking. Then i jumped to grab my note book for 'Quotes' which was above the study table. I unpaused it again clicking the left part of the mouse and started noting down the dialogue as fast as I could. "Two little mice fell in a bucket of cream. The first mouse quickly gave up and drowned. The second mouse wouldn't quit. He struggled so hard that eventually he churned that cream into butter and crawled out." "Don't be angry but I'd just called to remind you that your fiction is not published in today’s fiction park," Nick had embarrassed me last Sunday. Baba suddenly came to my room. I felt as if i fell off the roof of a building. I immediately minimized the movie and maximized 'sparknotes.com'. Most of the time, I hate watching movies, especially English with my parents. Movies will seem off

Need to understand exam stress

Most students fears of  examinations. It causes tension due to which many cannot concentrate on what they are studying. Many students also suffer from many health problems like headaches, stomach pain, loss of appetite, sleeplessness and frustration during exam time. Though such problems are common among students, neither the parents nor teachers seem concerned about it. Most of the boarding schools in Kathmandu focus on the syllabus of board examinations and prepare their students accordingly. Parents only want good marks in all subjects and ignore their children's problems. The pressure to perform well in examinations is so high that they start panicking. It is necessary to understand students psychology and act accordingly. Both teachers and parents should be a bit liberal to students during exam time. Any type of physical or mental torture should be avoided. The system of taking examination should also be modified. Exam should not only evaluate, but also reform. Most im

Value of a smile !

What exotic thing a smile is? It costs nothing but is worth millions. It is wonderful because it can neither be copied nor begged or borrowed or stolen. It is a gift of god which one possesses for his early life and practices spontaneously later on. Charles Reade said "Beauty is power; a smile is its sword". Smile is an omnipotent weapon of humans. It can make a person happier. It also makes a person happier.   It also makes one more approachable and exudes positive energy that attracts people. Smile is so powerful that it can brighten even the darkest day. As smile comes spontaneously, many things can be done to increase smiles. Thinking positive, acting normal, being cheerful are some reasons to smile more. Usually, the positive thought can bring smile. Smiling a lot is not only good for health but for the brain, business, relations, beauty and so on. Just one smile can make a person's day. Therefore, smile more and you will feel the change. Smile will bring glo

Expensive Hesitation

I was standing outside the door and about to knock when I heard my mother crying inside. I knocked twice wishing everything would be fine inside. Dada came to the door. I did not have the courage to go into the living room, so I went to my room. But Mamu and Baba were there and Dada joined them. I saw my cigarettes in front of them. Baba asked angrily, "What is this?" I was speechless. Mamu started crying. Baba asked again,"What is this, son?" I remained silent. Then Dada kicked me and shouted,"Answer the question, idiot." I had no answer. Baba asked again. I decided to beg for forgiveness but Dada started beating me. I kicked him too. In no time we were fighting. Baba tried to stop us but we didn't. Then i saw Baba lying on the floor. He had suffered a heart attack. At the hospital the doctor came and asked, "Are you his children? Have you done Bratamandha?" It was then I questioned myself why i had hesitated to say 'no
